The Church’s plan for LIFE

Friends,

As I mentioned before, I stopped practicing my Catholic faith for many years. I was recently sharing my journey of wandering at a retreat when one of the participants took me aside and asked what made me return to the Catholic faith. My answer was immediate: the Eucharist.

Driving home that evening, I thought about that question and realized there was one more thing that made the Catholic Church the only home possible for my heart—Truth.

I've been speaking, working, and writing on issues that challenge the dignity of the human person and the sanctity of human life for 20 years. There is no other faith that can claim a coherent moral vision for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.

There just isn't.

I can promise that when you're answering your child's question about who God created them to be…When they are unsure of the body they are in, or why they are worthy of unconditional love. You will want an answer to their inevitable question, "But why?...

When they ask about helping a friend get an abortion, or they defend their choice to have one themself. When they challenge God’s plan for marriage, wonder why someone they love is suffering, or cannot understand the Cross on their own tender backs… You will want an answer to their inevitable question, "But why?...

This month, we will start with exploring the USCCB's Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities as a starting point for the year. We couldn't be more excited as we look at the year ahead… Together, we will reawaken a culture of LIFE, one home at a time.
